Larian offered an update on what’s next for Baldur’s Gate 3, and it shared that two of the notable additions for Patch 7 will be better “evil” endings and mod tools. It also noted there will be a closed beta ahead of the update’s launch.
Editor’s Note: There will be some gifs from Larian below that hint at what we’ll see in the new Baldur’s Gate 3 evil endings.
When discussing the new additions for the evil endings in Baldur’s Gate 3, Larian touched on two elements. One is that Composer Borislav Slavov worked on new songs for it. A 1:34 minute track called “March of Darkness” was shared alongside the announcement.
Next, here are the two gifs with teasers for the upcoming scenes. Both the standard and Dark Urge endings will be affected.
When it comes to the Baldur’s Gate 3 mod tools, they won’t all be available at once. The announcement noted that Patch 7 will mark their introduction. It noted people will be able to change stats, animations, and sounds as they begin appearing. As usual, bug fixes will show up too. However, crossplay and photo mode won’t be present.
There’s no timeline for Patch 7 yet. Larian noted it is developing it now. Once it is closer to being done, a PC closed beta will be held first to test it out. After that, there will be the full release.
Baldur’s Gate 3 is available for the PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and Patch 7 is in development.
