How to Recruit Iugo in Eiyuden Chronicle

Once you first gain access to your castle base in Eiyuden Chronicle, you can head back to Eltisweiss to recruit Iugo. However, he’s in an out of the way spot, so you might miss him.

How do I recruit Iugo in Eiyuden Chronicle?

After you establish and name your base, head through the well at the back of the castle’s ground floor to go back into the Abandoned Mines. Go through to get back to the Grum County map, then head to Eltisweiss.

From there, you need to head to a tavern on the eastern side of the map. It’s in a very out-of-the-way place. I only noticed it because I saw the green door boundary when heading south down the eastern most path. You can’t even see it in the map screenshot, but can almost make out the walkway on the minimap in the screenshot below.

From there, talk to Iugo in the tavern. He’ll quickly be convinced to join your cause.

Is Iugo good in Eiyuden Chronicle?

I love how Iugo looks. I think his Taunting Counter defense is really neat. But I never really used him! When he joined my party at level 6, he was over 10 levels behind everyone else. Also, his equipped Rune-Lens only increases his blindness resistance by 30%, which isn’t a huge help. He’s a cool guy, but I think there are better warriors out there for your crew.

Eiyuden Chronicle: Hundred Heroes is available on the Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC.
