Like the past Tamagotchi Nano model from 2020, the Hello Kitty 50th anniversary version involves raising standard characters from the series with Hello Kitty making cameo appearances. There will be two shell options available. Each has a white background, with the face portion being red and white on one and blue and white on the other. Each one will cost $19.99.

As for the Hello Kitty Tamagotchi Uni, it is described as the Sanrio Characters Edition. It will come with a pink watch band, with the Tamagotchi itself having familiar red bows against a white background. Again, Tamagotchi characters will get chances to dress as familiar characters. There will also be cosmetics based on Sanrio characters, and people can send their character to Sanrio Puroland in-game. It will cost $69.99.

This isn’t the first time a Tamagotchi with smart watch elements ended up with this sort of crossover. Tamagotchi Smart had a crossover too. People could get a Sanrio TamaSma card. M!x and Meets models also appeared in Japan with Sanrio characters.

The Hello Kitty Tamagotchi Nano and Tamagotchi Uni Sanrio Characters Edition are both expected to appear in the US in July 2024. Standard Tamagotchi Uni models are available.
