Pokemon Scarlet & Violet Event Will Appear at Shima Spain Village

A Pokemon Scarlet and Violet-themed event will take place at a Japanese theme park inspired by one of the countries that served as models for the Paldea region. The Pokemon Company revealed via its Japanese X account that it will hold the Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Extracurricular Lesson event at Shima Spain Village from late June 2024 to late September 2024.

The company has yet to reveal full details about the summer event as of this announcement. However, it has shared hints that it will place photo spots featuring Paldean Pokemon. It will also hold a rally event where participants must find items spread across the theme park to win rewards. In addition, food stalls inside the venue will offer Pokemon-themed meals during the event.

The venue choice for this new event could not have been more coincidental. Pokemon Scarlet and Violet take place in the Paldea region, which Game Freak modeled after the Iberian Peninsula that mostly constitutes Spain and Portugal. The Shima Spain Village theme park, which has been operational in the Mie Prefecture since 1994, is also based on the very country it is named after.

The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Extracurricular Lesson event will take place at Shima Spain Village from June 29, 2024, to September 23, 2024. The event will be based on the ninth-generation mainline Pokemon game available worldwide on Nintendo Switch.
