How to Change Your Appearance in Dragon’s Dogma 2

As extensive as Dragon’s Dogma 2‘s character creator is, many players may want to change the way their Arisen or Pawn looks after diving a few hours into their journey. This guide will explain how to change your appearance in Dragon’s Dogma 2 and where you need to go to get a haircut or change your Arisen’s makeup.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 Salon Location – where to change your appearance

In order to change your appearance (or that of your Pawn’s), you will need to go to a Salon. This establishment is only found in major cities such as Vernworth and Bakbattahl. You may be wondering how you can recognize the Salon in each of these locations, and this specific service is designated by an icon that closely resembles a pair of scissors.

However, the first place most players will be able to change their appearance in Dragon’s Dogma 2 is at the Clovis Salon in the Vernwroth Capital. For your convenience, I have provided a map below that shows you the exact location where you can change the way your character looks after starting your game.

However, you can do more than just cut your hair at the Salon. You will also be able to change your makeup, skin complexion, eyebrows, and other basic features. After speaking to the NPC inside the Salon, you can then select from four options that will edit your Arisen character or Pawn.

The cost of each of these services is as follows:

  • Change Hairstyle – 10,000G
  • Adjust Makeup – 10,000G
  • Give Markings – 10,000G
  • Change Multiple – 25,000G
  • Modify Appearance – Requires The Art of Metamorphosis

Now you may be wondering what “Give Markings” entails, and that’s simply adding scars or tattoos to your Arisen. Changing Multiple allows for your to adjust your makeup, change your hairstyle, and slap on some tattoos and scars for 5,000G cheaper than it would be individually. But if you are truly unhappy with how your Arisen looks, you can use The Art of Metamorphosis book to send yourself back to the Character Creator menu through the Salon.

To learn more about that, check out our How to Get the Art of Metamorphis in Dragon’s Dogma 2 guide. If you are on PC, you can import a new preset created through the Dragon’s Dogma Character Creator on Steam. Which means you can fiddle around there before potentially dedicating a few hours to using the Salon before accidentally backing out, or not being sure of your decision. Know that if you do decide not to confirm changes, you will not use The Art of Metamorphosis.

Dragon’s Dogma 2 is available for PC, PlayStation 5, and Xbox Series X.
