How do I recruit Jerome in Unicorn Overlord?

“The Battle for Largion” is your standard, straightforward Liberation Quest. Your base will be just outside of the town, and you’ll need to get past a handful of units to reach Jerome and defeat him. If you came from Bastorias’ Devolpis Harbor, you’ll find the battle is just south of Fort Terrarosa and Amber Abbey. However, if you arrived from Elheim’s Lunokeu Harbor, then it is just east of Fort Viridian Hill.

Honestly, it isn’t a very noteworthy fight. If your characters are all around level 30-32, it won’t pose much of a challenge. Have a unit with a character who knows and can use the Heavy Swing skill, as Jerome will put up barricades once you start making your way into town. But it’s easy to get past his defenses and win.

Once you do, you get 20 Honors, a Ruby, and the Knights of the Sacred Heart key item. Doing so also triggers a story scene during which Alain can opt to recruit or execute Jerome. If you recruit him, he arrives as a Great Knight equipped with a Steel Spear and Steel Shield.

Unicorn Overlord is available for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, and Xbox Series X
