Bandai Namco has announced that Gundam Metaverse will be available to access again for a limited time. The second time-limited opening period will take place in two separate blocks. The first one will run on March 15-17, 2024, and the second one will be on March 22-24, 2024.

This opening period will be available to people residing in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the US. Each user will have to register a Bandai Namco ID to access the metaverse. They can also pre-register to get priority access and obtain a bonus MSN-04 Sazabi helmet for their avatars. The pre-registration window is still open until March 11, 2024, at 9:59 PM PDT (March 12, 2024, at 12:59 AM EDT).

Bandai Namco has published a new trailer on its YouTube channel, which is also available in English. The metaverse’s AI character Mellow Neige explains the features in Japanese with English subtitles.

Gundam Metaverse will appear as the first entry in Bandai Namco’s long-term plan to establish metaverses based on its multiple IPs. The company will create virtual communities focusing on different media, such as anime, video games, music, and Gunpla (Gundam plastic model kits). The metaverse’s first opening session happened in October 2023, but it was marred by inadvertent leaks of CAD files for multiple Mobile Suits from the franchise.

The second limited-time opening of Gundam Metaverse will be available via PC browsers in Japan, Hong Kong, Taiwan, and the US from March 15 to 24, 2024.
