Bliss Brain announced a second delay for Princess Maker 2 Regeneration. People who want to get the new enhanced game will now have to wait until July 11, 2024, for it to be released. The studio cited a need to further improve the game’s quality as the reason for delaying the game’s release.
To compensate for the second delay announcement, Bliss Brain published a new trailer that showcases the game’s opening animation. A team from Yonago Gainax led by Takami Akai is working on the new animation movie. It will include many scenes taken from the gameplay, ranging from house activities to public competitions.
The new trailer is available to watch via YouTube:
Bliss Brain first revealed Regeneration in August 2023. The new enhanced game will be based on Princess Maker 2 Refine, which originally appeared for PCs in 2004 and added to Steam in 2016. While Regeneration will also appear on Steam, it will make Princess Maker 2 available on the Switch, PS4, and PS5 for the first time. Takami Arai will re-draw the character illustrations to match closer to the original PC-98 release.
The studio originally planned to release Regeneration on December 21, 2023, to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the original PC-98 release in 1993. However, in mid-November 2023, it announced a delay to May 30, 2024, as it needed more time to improve the game’s quality.
Princess Maker 2 Regeneration will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, and PC via Steam on July 11, 2024.
