Tama Art University Bureau will run another Pokemon art education exhibit in Tokyo, Japan, from late March 2024 to early April 2024. It will also hold special workshop sessions where people can design their own Poke Ball.
In this workshop, the university will provide Poke Ball parts made of fireworks shells from used cardboard. The parts will also come with a mechanism that lets people actually open and close the balls. Participants will be able to draw any design they want on the Poke Balls.
The university will open reservations for the workshop on March 14, 2024, at noon JST. People will be able to apply for free on a first-come-first-served basis. However, the organizers will only accept reservations made in the name of elementary school students, and only a parent or guardian may accompany each of them. The workshop will have three separate sessions on March 30, 2024, and April 6, 2024. Each session can host up to 15 participants.
The workshop will appear as a part of the “Think with Pokemon: Art & Environment Education 2″ exhibition. Students from the university will showcase Pokemon Upcycling Sculptures made with unconventional materials at the main exhibit. One of the new examples shown is a Pansage sculpture made with Crocs clogs, toy trains, balls, cords, and a pump. Another one features a Lugia statue crafted from a keyboard, steering controllers, and cords.
This will be the second time Tama Art University Bureau holds a Pokemon art education exhibit. It previously launched the first event between late March 2023 and early April 2023. It also included the Poke Ball design workshop that ran on April 1 and 8, 2023.
The “Think with Pokemon: Art & Environment Education 2″ exhibition will take place at the Tokyo Midtown Design Hub from March 28, 2024, to April 6, 2024. The Poke Ball design workshop will be held at the same location on March 30, 2024, and April 6, 2024.
