Chadley’s Expedition Intel is one of the most important sidequests in FF7 Rebirth, as it unlocks Classified Fiend intel on your map. This guide will explain where to find all Junon Expedition Intel in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth.
Where to find all Junon Expedition Intel locations in FF7 Rebirth
Unlike the Grasslands Expedition Intel in FF7 Rebirth, Junon only has four of the Lifespring research to discover. However, you will need to obtain the region’s Chocobo Mount, as well as progress the main story a bit before you can access all of the Expedition Intel.
So, while there technically isn’t an order you must complete these in, you will need to do a few things to complete all of them. To get started, we have mapped out Junon and have discovered every location of the region’s Lifespring. For your convenience, you can find all Junon Expedition Intel in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth on the map below:
And here is the location of the last Junon Expedition Intel that is located in the southern section of the map:
All Junon Lifespring locations in FF7 Rebirth
As stated earlier, there are a few Junon Lifepsrings that can’t be accessed until you’ve cleared a few things in the main story. However, below, we will break down where you can find all Junon Lifespring in FF7 Rebirth and what you need to do to reach them.
Chocobluff Lifespring location
Junon Expedition Intel 1 is pretty easy to find, as you can find it pretty early on in the region. However, you will need to progress the story far enough that you’ve found the region’s special Chocobo Mount. That is because Junon Expedition Intel 1 is on top of a mountain and can only be reached with a Chocobo walking up the wall.
Castaway Lifespring location
You can technically reach Junon Expedition Intel 2 without a Chocobo, but it’s quite a trek. That is because you need to swim across the bay in the middle of the map. After crossing the blue water, you will find an are with shiprwecks that have become overgrown with vines.
Once you reach the area with the destroyed ships, walk in between the two rusted structures. As you walk between the vines, you will see the Lifespring tucked away in the right corner between the overgrown foliage. It might be hard to find at first, but you should see it if you run down the middle of the shipwreck.
Mountain Outpost Lifespring location
Despite being Junon Expedition Intel 3, this is actually the easiest Lifespring to find. You can technically access it on foot. Simply look for the yellow stones on the side of the mountain and interact with them to climb. Once you reach the plateau there will be a second set of yellow rocks to climb again. Once Cloud scales the top of the mountain you will see the Lifespring.
Pharecape Lifespring location
Finally, Junon Expedition Intel 4 is the most difficult Lifespring to find. First off, you need to obtain the region’s Chocobo Mount. After that, you need to progress the story far enough until you sleep at the Under Junon Inn. After Cloud wakes up, speak to Rhonda to get the side quest called “When Words Won’t Do.” This will give you access to the Crow’s Nest.
Run down the middle of the Crow’s Nest and take the south exit. You will need to head towards the Abandoned Lighthouse where Kyrie the “merc” has set up shop. Use your Chocobo to scale down a set of walls, and then cross the massive bridge that leads to the Lighthouse.
However, after you cross the bridge, take the right path away from the Lighthouse. You will see a wall that your Chocobo can walk down. After you scale down the wall, take an immediate left around the side of the mountain, where you will find the Junon Expedition Intel 4 Lifespring tucked away in the the corner of rocks and vines.
Once you have scanned all four Junon Lifespring, you will get access to the rare FF7 Rebirth Mindflayer Crown item. After you scan the fourth Lifespring near the Lighthouse, Chadley will inform you that the Mindflayer is now available on your map and will mark the encounter for you.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is now available on PlayStation 5.
