With a game as huge as Final Fantasy VII Rebirth, you know the merchandise options are going to be plentiful. So, for those who care about collectibles and the like, here are some of the best pieces of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth merchandise available ahead of the game’s release.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Vinyl
Starting off our list with what I think is the best snag here is the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Vinyl. It’s a small collection of nine songs from the game in beautiful packaging featuring Aerith and Tifa on opposite sides of the vinyl itself. However, this means that the full soundtrack is unavailable on vinyl.
Don’t worry; I’ve got you covered if that’s more your speed. Square Enix also has a massive 7-disc CD set available for the Final Fantasy VII Rebirth soundtrack. Keep in mind that both items are Japanese imports from the Square Enix store.
Fat Moogle Plush
I mean, look at that thing. What an absolute unit! Who doesn’t want their own Fat Moogle lying around? Measuring around 10 inches tall, this big fella could fit at the foot of your bed or on top of a bookshelf easily.
Also, you can get a little Cait Sith to put on top of him for the full experience! Complete with a megaphone. But maybe you’d prefer some plastic rather than fluff? No worries, we can cover that lower on the list.
Final Fantasy VII Action Figures
There are a wide variety of figures for Final Fantasy VII available through Square Enix. This features figures in both their Play Arts and Static Arts lines. An obvious fun highlight is Cloud in his famous dress from Final Fantasy Remake. There’s also an incredibly detailed Red XIII that is certainly tempting for me.
If you’re willing to drop the cash, you can get a super sweet set featuring Cloud and Jessie with a motorcycle. There’s honestly a wide selection, and you’re sure to find a figure for your favorite character.
The Final Fantasy Trading Card Game
I think a lot of people sleep on the Final Fantasy Trading Card Game, especially in North America. The game itself is actually quite fun, and the art is fantastic. Sure, the cards aren’t exactly easy to find in the wild, but Square Enix does have a bit of a selection on their website. This includes a pre-order for the new 2024 Anniversary Set.
If you really want to get into the game and track down older cards, there are a number of reputable and verified trading card resale sites you can check out. If you can, I would also recommend checking out your local game store too.
While not for the TCG, I also wanted to give a shout-out to the Shinra-branded business card holder. I just think it’s interesting to have something practical that also represents a game or movie you like. Imagine pulling that out after a successful business meeting.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will be released on PlayStation 5 on February 29, 2024.
