You can get gifts at places such as the flower shop or Tanaka’s Amazing Commodities. Each gift in the game will give a set value of points to a character based on their preferences. For example, a Banana Cupcake will give Yukari a max of three points more than other characters. Many high-point gifts will be the “Brand” items from Tanaka’s Amazing Commodities.

Gifts stay in your inventory in Persona 3 Reload until it’s time to give them. Don’t worry, you don’t have to work that hard to do it. During the course of completing your social links, if you have a gift available, you will be prompted to give it to a character.

Once you’ve chosen a gift, you’ll give it to the character that’s it, “done and dusted,” so to speak. However, they do not lose points if you ever fail to give them a gift. It’s meant to be a bonus to accelerate social links and should be planned around.

It’s crucial to learn your preferred character’s preference, especially if you plan to romance them. There are, however, some gifts, like the Teddy Bear, that give two points to everyone. Keep an eye out for these, as they can help any relationship.

Gifts aren’t the only way to increase your bond with a social link, however it sure helps. Keep a gift in your inventory at all times, just in case you have the chance during a social link. Any points are better than no points.

Persona 3 Reload is now available on the PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X / S.
