Excluding variants, Palworld has 111 Pals in the Paldeck, but did you know there’s a secret Pal that doesn’t appear on the list until you’ve bred them? Here’s how to breed Frostallion Noct in Palworld.
How to get Frostallion Noct in Palworld
Frostallion Noct is the Dark-type variant of Frostallion, the Legendary Ice-type horse Pal. While you’d expect it to be an Alpha Pal Boss like Frostallion or found in one of the game’s dungeons, it is not. Frostallion Noct can only be obtained via breeding in Palworld.
To breed Frostallion Noct in Palworld, you must have the Breeding Farm in your Base. You unlock the Breeding Farm in the Technology menu at level 19, after which you’ll need to spend two Technology Points on it. You’ll then need 100 Wood, 20 Stone, and 50 Fiber to actually be able to build it in your Base, and two specific Pals: one Male and one Female.
Palworld Frostallion Noct breeding combinations
There’s only one breeding combination for Frostallion Noct in Palworld, which is:
- Frostallion x Helzephyr.
Yes, this does mean that you need to catch the Legendary Frostallion before you can breed Frostallion Noct in Palworld.
Where to find Frostallion in Palworld
Frostallion is found just west of the Land of Absolute Zero fast travel point in the Astral Mountains. It is a level 50 Alpha Pal Boss, which means it’s already a tough fight, with the Pal’s Legendary status only making it more challenging. This will be an endgame encounter, so don’t expect to be able to take Frostallion on if you’re not at least level 48, though I’d recommend waiting until you match its level at 50 to make it as easy as possible.
You’ll need a Legendary Sphere for the best catch chance, which you unlock in the Technology menu at level 44 using five Technology Points. You’ll then be able to craft one at a Sphere Assembly Line II workbench using 10 Paladium Fragments, 5 Pal Metal Ingots, 3 Carbon Fiber, and 5 Cement.
Where to find Helzephyr in Palworld
Helzephyr is found in Cinnamoth Forest at night. Once the moon rises, fast travel to the Cinnamoth Forest fast travel point, where you’ll find it soaring around in the air. If you’d rather breed Helzephyr, you can use one of the following breeding combinations:
- Elizabee x Suzaku.
- Elizabee x Shadowbeak.
- Elizabee x Suzaku Aqua.
- Beakon x Cryolinx.
- Pyrin x Blazamut.
- Pyrin Noct x Cryolinx.
- Pyrin x Suzaku Aqua.
You’ll want to make sure that your Helzephyr is the opposite gender of your Frostallion, as you need a Male and a Female Pal to breed Frostallion Noct in Palworld.
How to breed Frostallion Noct in Palworld
With Frostallion and Helzephyr in hand, here are the steps to breed Frostallion Noct in Palworld:
- Craft and place the Breeding Farm in your Base after unlocking it at level 19.
- Craft a Cooking Pot and place it in your base. It unlocks at level 17.
- Cook a Cake using the Cooking Pot. Its recipe is 5 Flour, 8 Red Berries, 7 Milk, 8 Eggs, and 2 Honey.
- Assign Helzephyr and Frostallion to the Breeding Farm. To do this, pick them up and throw them inside the Breeding Farm’s fence.
- Place the Cake inside the Breeding Farm’s chest, located just outside the fence.
- Wait around four minutes until the yellow circle around the two Pals fills up. A Huge Dark Egg will eventually spawn inside the Breeding Farm.
- Pick up the Huge Dark Egg, place it in an Egg Incubator, and wait for it to hatch.
Note that hatch times will vary depending on your World Settings. I set mine to zero for instant hatch times because I’m impatient. You can change your World Settings from the main menu.
Palworld is now available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
