How to Get Honey in Palworld

Honey is an important food item in Palworld used for various recipes. It’s also a major ingredient for Cake, which is required for breeding. However, finding it may be a little tricky.

Which Pals drop Honey in Palworld?

There are a few Pals that drop Honey in Palworld, but the best options are either Beegarde or Elizabee. Unsurprisingly, these bee-like Pals will always drop Honey when defeated or captured, but finding and capturing them may be a little tricky.

Both bee Pals can be found on the island just north of the Islandhopper Coast Fast Travel point. They usually travel in groups. Sometimes there will be a group of Beegarde, but occasionally an Elizabee will join them. Either defeating or capturing these Pals will cause them to drop Honey. Be warned though, as they are not easy to fight and may even try and explode on you.

Alternatively, Honey can also obtained as a drop from Cinnamoth or Warsect. Cinnamoth is a much easier Pal to find and defeat, as it’s usually at a lower level on the island just west of where you find the bees. However, it also drops Wheat and Lettuce Seeds at a higher rate, so there’s no guarantee you’ll get Honey from them. Warsect only drops Honey, much like the bees, but it’s also much rarer and found at a higher level.

How else can I get Honey in Palworld?

Once you’ve caught a Beegarde, it becomes much easier to obtain Honey. Simply build a Ranch and set it to work inside your base. It will graze at the ranch and produce Honey on a regular basis. Since this is likely to be a tech you’ll have unlocked already by the time you’re strong enough to take on Beegarde in the wild, you likely already have one set up.

This trait doesn’t apply to Elizabee, however. As the queen and not a worker bee, she won’t help to produce honey, although she can help transport it to your storage once it’s produced.

Palworld is out now in Early Access for the PC, Xbox One and Xbox Series X/S.
