How to fix the flapping sound bug in Palworld

If you’re experiencing this bug in Palworld, it’s likely because your Partner Pal is a Flying-type. The annoying glitch has largely been noted with those using Celeray, particularly if you have its Zephyr Glider Partner Skill unlocked.

To fix the flapping sound bug in Palworld, put your Celeray or other flying Partner Pal into your Pal Box at your base. This should stop the sound completely, though some players have reported the sound starting back up again once they pull their Pal out of their Pal Box again.

If the sound persists, put your Partner Pal back into the Pal Box and then try the following:

  • Restart Palworld.
  • Restart your PC or Xbox Series X|S.
  • Disable sound effects by going to Settings > Sounds and turning the SE slider to 0. Restart Palworld then re-enable sound effects.
  • Uninstall and reinstall Palworld.

If none of the above methods work to fix the frustrating flapping sound bug in Palworld, you’ll have no choice but to turn off sound effects permanently. It’s not an ideal solution, but it’s enough to relieve your headache until Pocketpair can solve the problem in a future update. You can report issues and track what the developer is working on in the official Palworld Discord server.

Palworld is now available on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox Series X/S.
