These plushes are based on the Pokemon Horizons anime rather than the games, as Captain Pikachu and Black Rayquaza were only in that show. Captain Pikachu is the captain of the Brave Olivine. Heā€™s got his hat on, though you can remove it if you so please.

Heā€™s also got his arms on his hips and a sharp expression on his face, giving him a very smart look. Like Ashā€™s Pikachu from the original Pokemon anime series, Captain Pikachu is usually outside of his Poke Ball. This makes sense, as he canā€™t steer a ship very well from inside of one.

As for Black Rayquaza, it can stand up to 35 centimeters tall, making it a fairly large toy. Black Rayquaza first appeared in the Pokemon Horizons anime as one of Luciusā€™s Pokemon. It is the first Shiny Legendary Pokemon to be owned by a trainer in the Pokemon shows. A big motivation for the Rising Volt Tacklers on the show is to look for Black Rayquaza.

You can order the Pokemon Horizons: The Series Captain Pikachu and Black Rayquaza plushes via Takara Tomyā€™s website from January 27, 2024.
