Is Palworld Better on the PC or Xbox?

If you’ve been keeping up with the Palworld hype and decided you’d like to play it instead of other games, you may be wondering if the Xbox or PC version is best for you. Well, the answer to that depends on a number of factors.

I have Xbox Game Pass:

If you subscribe to Xbox Game Pass, then play Palworld on whatever platform you can do so for “free.” Only have an Xbox console? Go with that. Using Xbox Game Pass on your PC? That’s the one you should go with. Microsoft confirmed it is available for cloud, console, and PC in early access via the service.

I want to use guides to help play:

I would have to say that the PC version of Palworld is the one to go with if you want to consult with other people or outlets online for help when you play. There are different requirements between the Xbox and PC versions of the game at launch. As such, I’ve noticed most people on Discord and Reddit or at websites are turning to the PC version when offering tips, Pal locations, crafting recipes, and so on.

Multiplayer is important to me:

At launch in early access, there are no dedicated servers for the Palworld Xbox version. Only two, three, or four people can play together. On the PC, up to 32 people can all be playing together at once. As such, PC is the way to go for now. However, that could eventually change due to upgrade plans and crossplay being investigated by Pocketpair.

I don’t own a gaming PC:

Well, then the Xbox version of Palworld is basically forced on you. Sometimes, you just have to go with the platform you actually own and make due, even if it isn’t the optimal situation.

I want to use mods:

You’ll need to go with the PC version of Palworld for that. That’s the only one that will support fan creations.

Palworld is available on the Xbox One, Xbox Series X, and PC via early access.
