Square Enix revealed that it is restocking some of its popular music boxes from the Final Fantasy series. The lineup includes the first Final Fantasy opening theme, “On Our Way” from Final Fantasy VII Remake and “To Zanarkand” from Final Fantasy X.
Pre-orders for these restocked music boxes are immediately available on the Japanese Square Enix e-Store. Each box will be available individually at 2,200 yen (~$15).
Here is the full list of music boxes that have been made available for sale once again:
- “Opening Theme” from Final Fantasy
- “Searching for Friends” from Final Fantasy VI
- “F.F.VII Main Theme” from Final Fantasy VII
- “Aerith’s Theme” from Final Fantasy VII
- “Tifa’s Theme – Seventh Heaven” from Final Fantasy VII Remake
- “On Our Way” from Final Fantasy VII Remake
- “Love Grows” from Final Fantasy VIII
- “Melodies of Life” from Final Fantasy IX
- “To Zanarkand” from Final Fantasy X
- “Suteki da ne” from Final Fantasy X
- “Valse di Fantastica” from Final Fantasy XV
The Final Fantasy VII music boxes were first released in 2020. The first Final Fantasy opening theme and “Searching for Friends” were included in a batch featuring the first six mainline entries in 2022. The remaining boxes from Final Fantasy VIII, IX, X, and XV were part of a newer batch that came out in April 2023. Final Fantasy XIII‘s “The Promise” was also included in the latter, but it is the only box not listed in this restock batch.
Square Enix will officially release the newly restocked Final Fantasy music boxes on April 20, 2024.
