Enterrise and Capcom announced the release of a new Resident Evil Village pachislot machine. The machine started operating on January 9, 2024, at pachislot parlors throughout Japan.
The new Pachislot Resident Evil Village is based on the Pachislot Resident Evil 7 Hazard Rush machine, released in Japan in 2020. Since the pachislot games don’t involve actual gameplay, the different stages of the machine adopt the aesthetic of the game. These stages include the titular Village, Castle Dimitrescu, Moreau’s Reservoir, the Village tunnels, and the Megamycete. Scenes from the game were recreated for the machine.
Triggering certain conditions and slot combinations leads to events such as Judgement Evil and Panic Zone. Both of these events have different chances of achieving a Climax Battle against one of the lords of the Four Houses, which in turn also leads to a Hazard Rush. These sequences replicate the plot of Resident Evil Village. Chris Mode is one of the special events advertised, which leads to various scenes imitating the sequence near the end of the game in which players control Chris Redfield.
Additionally, Enterrise shared a promotional video for the new machine, and you can check it out below. However, the video contains flashing lights, so viewer discretion is advised:
