LEGO Fortnite dropped late 2023 as a welcome surprise to players of the game. However, given the impermanence of elements in Fortnite, like events or seasonal additions, someone may worry if LEGO Fortnite permanent or is just available for a short time. It is here to stay.
A massive collaboration like the one between Fortnite and LEGO is a big deal for fans of either franchise. Given the rarity of such a team-up, it’s not unusual for fans to be concerned that the game won’t be available for long. Fortnite is no stranger to limited time events, such as characters appearing as skins temporarily.
However, with LEGO Fortnite having such a large scale, many fans expected it to stick around for a while. Still, given the nature of licensing, others were worried the game was just a quick holiday treat. However, Epic Games quickly addressed fans concerns about LEGO Fortnite‘s longevity.
Epic Games confirmed LEGO Fortnite is not a a “limited-time mode”
Epic Games relieved some fans fears, confirming that LEGO Fortnite is not a “limited-time mode.” In a post on X, formerly known as Twitter, the official Fortnite account said, “These are brand new games entirely—not LTM’s.”
Sounds like Epic Games has plans for LEGO Fortnite to stick around, viewing the experience as a whole new game. This is great news, for fans who have been putting work and effort into the game. Epic also confirmed Rocket Racing and Fortnite Festival will be sticking around at the same time.
However, it’s important to keep in mind that LEGO is a major brand. There is surely very specific licensing that allows LEGO Fortnite to exist. While it sounds unlikely to end soon, eventually it is possible this licensing could expire. So, while LEGO Fortnite may not be permanent, it’s certainly gonna be around for the long haul.
LEGO Fortnite is available for the Nintendo Switch, PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PC, and Android devices.
