There are many difficult achievements to acquire in Final Fantasy XIV, but few compare to the intensity of one particular achievement. Here is how to get the daunting, time-consuming, and unbelievably annoying Luckiest of Ladies or Lords achievement in FFXIV.
How do I get the Luckiest of Ladies and Lords achievement in FFXIV?
The main goal behind this particular achievement is to acquire its excellent reward, which is a highly rare and magnificent title The Luckiest of Ladies for FFXIV female characters and The Luckiest of Lords for male characters.
If you want to locate the achievement and see your progress, you need to open up the main menu, scroll all the way down on the Character tab to Achievements. From there, look under the “battle” section and pick Treasure Hunt achievements. The achievement is known as The Deeper End IV.
The actual achievement’s requirement is the following:
- Raid the deepest sluice in the Hidden Canals of Uznair 20 times.
That sounds pretty simple on its own. You just need to do this particular treasure map dungeon 20 times, right? However, it is the part about the “deepest sluice,” which is the problem. This requires you to use the Timeworn Thief’s Map, which you can only get from the Timeworn Gazelleskin Maps.
Where do I get Timeworn Gazelleskin Maps in FFXIV & How do I use them?
First and foremost, you need to get some Timeworn Gazelleskin Maps. While you can get these through your own exploration as rewards, your best bet is to hit up the Market Board. You can get one of these for around 37,000 Gil on my particular world, but it is likely cheaper elsewhere and you can, fortunately, travel anywhere.
The problem is you have to use the Timeworn Gazelleskin Maps to dig up and find a Timeworn Thief’s Map. This is an extremely rare drop from Gazelleskin Maps and it can take a few dozen of these maps to find a single Thief’s Map. But that isn’t even the issue. The core issue is you have then clear 20 of these Thief’s Maps once you find them. These are challenging level 70 dungeons meant for eight players.
If you can find a huge group to farm Thief’s Maps with, great! But considering the time commitment—just take a look at Reddit user Danks’ thread—it will be a challenge to find eight people. It is, technically, possible to solo it with a Blue Mage and the right spells, but you will likely fail many times in the process. If you can find a group of seven or eight people, this is a much more doable venture and everyone will get the Luckiest of Ladies and Lords FFXIV title together.
Final Fantasy XIV is available for PS4, PS5, and PC. It will also release for Xbox in Spring 2024.
