How to evolve Overqwil in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Indigo Disk

To evolve Overqwil in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet, you need to level up a Qwilfish that knows the move Barb Barrage. After catching a Hisuian Qwilfish in Pokemon Indigo Disk, you can trigger its evolution into Overqwil using a specific method in your Boxes menu.

Below are the steps to evolve Overqwil in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet:

  • Catch a Qwilfish in the lakes of the Polar Biome in the Pokemon Indigo Disk DLC.
  • Press the X button on your Nintendo Switch and click “Check Summary” on the Qwilfish in your party.
  • Hit right on your D-Pad once to access the “Moves and Stats” page for Qwilfish.
  • Press the A button on your controller, and then go to “Remember Moves.”
  • Select the Poison-type move, Barb Barrage, and have your Qwilfish remember it.
  • Now that your Qwilfish has Barb Barrage learned, level it up once with XP or a Rare Candy to trigger its evolution into Overqwil.

Where to find Qwilfish in Pokemon Indigo Disk

Qwilfish can be found in the waters of the Polar Biome in the Pokemon Indigo Disk DLC. Travel to the northwest region of the Blueberry Academy terarium until you hit snow. Next, hop in the icy lakes around the mountain, where you can find many Hisuian Qwilfish swimming in the region.

Below is the exact Qwilfish habitat location in Pokemon Scarlet and Violet:

After you catch Qwilfish in the Pokemon Indigo Disk DLC, it might not know Barb Barrage. As mentioned above, you just need to access the “Remember Move” page to re-learn it. Once you have the special Poison-type move, you can trigger the Overqwil location in just a few seconds!

The Pokemon Scarlet and Violet Indigo Disk DLC is now available on the Nintendo Switch.
