Where To Find the Desert Mirage In WoW Classic Season of Discovery

The Desert Mirage enemy can be found in The Barrens near Ratchet. The Barrens are located just west of Durotar, which is the starting area for the Orcs. Other Horde players can run down there from their starting zones, with the exception of the Undead. You will need to take the zeppelin outside of The Undercity to reach Ogrimmar, head south through Durotar, and then west to reach The Barrens.

These enemies spawn at random and are relatively hard to find. You can spot them immediately as they’re a green phantasmal enemy. I found many of them around where Kolkar Wranglers spawn around The Stagnant Oasis.

The reason this enemy is so highly valued and often sought after is because it has a chance to drop the Earthen Rune, which is a special Rune for Shamans. This Rune can be equipped on the leg slot of a Shaman and allow them to Tank, which is part of the new, experimental meta Season of Discovery has facilitated. So if you’re looking to Tank in Season of Discovery, this a Rune you absolutely want and will need to hold aggro properly.

World of Warcraft Classic and the Season of Discovery is now available for PC.
