To understand how to build Argenti, you must first understand his kit. Fortunately, he plays like a caveman so it’s not very difficult to grasp. Argenti’s main gimmick is that he has two types of Ultimate that he can use, with one version costing only 90 Energy and the other costing 180 Energy. The 180 one deals significantly more damage, as well as randomly deals extra damage to a random enemy. His Talent grants him stacks of Apotheosis which raise his Crit Rate whenever he hits an enemy, capping at 10 stacks. That’s basically it.

Here are the Best Light Cones for Argenti in Honkai: Star Rail

As a note before we begin, almost all of the Erudition Light Cones  as of Honkai: Star Rail Version 1.5 is great for Argenti. His simple kit meshes very well with the majority of these. As such, you should pick based on what you have on hand and what you personally value from him.

  • An Instant Before A Gaze
This is Argenti’s signature Light Cone that increases his Crit DMG, as well as how much damage his Ultimate deals based on his Max Energy. At S0, it deals 0.36% per point for up to 180 points of Energy (which is Argenti’s max).
  • Before Dawn
This is Jing Yuan’s signature Light Cone which increases Crit DMG, as well as Skill and Ultimate DMG. There is another effect that focuses on follow-up attacks because of Jing Yuan’s kit, but you don’t need to worry about that for Argenti. This is a good Light Cone to use for its effect and also for its stats as a 5-star Light Cone.
  • Night on the Milky Way
This is technically a Light Cone for Himeko, but you can also use it for any other Erudition character. It increases Argenti’s ATK for every enemy on the field (9% at S0) and increases how much DMG he deals after inflicting Weakness Break. As a 5-star, it’s also a good stat stick.
  • Make the World Clamor
This Light Cone regenerates Energy for Argenti as soon as he enters battle. It can also increase how much DMG his Ultimate deals. It’s a good Light Cone that focuses primarily on his Ultimate, which is the main source of his damage anyway.
  • Geniuses’ Repose
This Light Cone increases Argenti’s ATK, as well as boosts his Crit DMG whenever he defeats an enemy. Because Argenti specializes in battles with multiple enemies, you won’t have to worry too much about needing an enemy on the field to defeat.
  • Today Is Another Peaceful Day
This Light Cone is similar to Argenti’s signature in that it increases how much DMG he deals based on his Max Energy. At S0, it increases his DMG by 0.20% but it caps at 160 Energy. While this Light Cone is a fine substitute for his signature, you won’t be able to make the most out of Argenti’s 180 Energy.
  • The Seriousness of Breakfast
This is a very good general Erudition Light Cone that passively increases the wearer’s DMG. Like Geniuses’ Repose, it increases how much DMG Argenti can deal with each enemy he defeats. The Seriousness of Breakfast gives him a 4% boost and it can stack up to 3 times.

Here are the Best Relics for Argenti

While I mentioned earlier that his Apotheosis stacks improve his Crit Rate, they don’t give a significant increase even after leveling up his Trace, especially compared to Jingliu’s Crit Rate boost. So while you can focus a bit more on Argenti’s Crit DMG, you still need around a respectable 40% Crit Rate for him to consistently crit. As such, you should prioritize his Crit stats, SPD, Physical DMG, and ATK %.

  • 4-pc Champion of Streetwise Boxing
This is currently the best Relic Set for Argenti due to its Physical DMG increase. The 4-pc effect also boosts his ATK whenever he attacks or is hit. Because Argenti will literally always attack whenever his turn comes, you’ll always be able to get his ATK increase (which can stack up to 5 times).
  • 2-pc Champion of Streetwise Boxing, 2-pc Musketeer of Wild Wheat
If you do not have enough Champion Relics to give Argenti a nice full set, you can mix it with Musketeer. Musketeer give a general ATK boost, which is always helpful in DPS characters when you don’t have enough Relics.
  • 2-pc Inert Salsotto
This is a fantastic Planar Ornament Set for Argenti because it increases his Crit Rate, as well as boosts his Ultimate DMG. You will need at least 50% for Argenti’s Crit Rate, which is good because he naturally needs a respectable amount of Crit Rate anyway. You can get away with less than 50% too, since you can rely on Apotheosis stacks.
  • 2-pc Firmament Frontline Glamoth
FFG is a good Planar Ornament Set because it increases Argenti’s ATK. In order to take advantage of the DMG boost, you will need at least 135 or 160 SPD. However, since you want a pretty speedy Argenti anyway, this shouldn’t be too bad. The only downside is if you are running him in a team that needs a specific SPD tuning, since it could be difficult to get the numbers all lined up.
  • 2-pc Sprightly Vonwacq
This Planar Ornament Set is only if you do not have enough Planar Ornaments from the above two. While this Set can increase his Energy Regeneration Rate (which is nice), its secondary effect of Advancing Forward his action when he enters battle isn’t too useful in the long run.

Honkai: Star Rail is readily available on the PS5, Windows PC, and mobile devices. You can only pull for Argenti in Honkai: Star Rail when the “Thorns of Scented Crown” Event Warp is live.
