SMT V is the latest entry in the modern day RPGs. Following an earthquake, players’ ordinary high school avatar ends up in a decimated, desert version of Tokyo. It’s then that players become the Nahobino, fusing together with a god named Aogami to become an entirely new entity. They then end up working with a government agency called Bethel to learn more about what’s going on and attempt to save humanity. Like other entries in the series, your actions and alignment can determine the fate of the world.

Here’s the first trailer:

We’ll learn even more about it soon. At 6:30am PT/9:30am ET, there will be a dedicated showcase in Japan going over the title.

Over the last few years, Atlus has consistently and regularly released SMT entries worldwide. For example, the HD Remaster of Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne showed up worldwide on the PS4, Switch, and PC. The same happened with SMT IV and its Apocalypse follow-up for the Nintendo 3DS.

Shin Megami Tensei V: Vengeance will come to the Nintendo Switch on June 21, 2024. The original game is immediately available on the Nintendo Switch worldwide.
