Fortnite Chapter 5 Season 1 has introduced a new ‘car’ category to your locker, allowing you to customize the look of vehicles you use in the Battle Royale mode and in the Rocket Racing mode that’s new as of this season. As part of this, Epic Games has introduced the ability to bring over cars from Psyonix’s Rocket League into Fortnite. However, in order to do so, there are a few steps you’ll need to follow, which we’ve broken down below.
Linking Your Rocket League Progress to Epic Games & Fortnite
To get your Rocket League cars in Fortnite, you’ll need to link your Rocket League account to your Epic Games account that you use to play Fortnite. This not only allows to carry your progress and inventory across all platforms you play the car soccer game, but will also allow your progress and inventory to be brought into the world of Fortnite.
To link your Rocket League account to your Epic Games account, follow the below steps:
- Head over to the Epic Games Account Linking page and log in with your Epic Games account.
- Select ‘Check Setup.’
- Click on the platform that you typically play Rocket League on.
Following the above three steps will then link your primary Rocket League account to your overarching Epic Games account. When you next login to Fortnite, you should now be greeted with a screen showing you the Octane car from Rocket League, some OEM wheels and an assortment of decals to get you started.
How to Get Lamborghini in Fortnite
To get the Lamborghini in Fortnite, you need to have purchased the Lamborghini Huracan STO car body in Rocket League from the store when it was available.
This bundle currently isn’t available to purchase in the Rocket League store at the time of writing. However, not all hope is lost! According to popular Fortnite leaker iFireMonkey, the Lamborghini should have a bundle that is sold in the Fortnite Item Shop in the near future.
Exactly when that will be remains to be seen, but with Rocket Racing arriving in game on Dec. 8, we’re pretty confident it’ll drop around then.
How to Customize Cars in Fortnite
Now that you’ve linked your account and redeemed all of your Rocket League cosmetics in Fortnite, you can now head over to the ‘Locker’ screen and select the ‘Cars’ tab as shown below.
You can now change the Car Body, Decal and Wheels from any that you’ve unlocked. Many more car-related cosmetics are expected to arrive down the line, including others you can bring over from your Rocket League pass and ranked play progression, so be sure to keep grinding away those ranks and levels.
