999 And Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward Ports Confirmed At Anime Expo 2016

Spike Chunsoft and Aksys confirmed two Zero Escape series ports at at Anime Expo 2016. First, the 999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors port was confirmed at a Zero Escape series panel on July 2, 2016. Then today, at Aksys’ panel, it mentioned 999 and a port of Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward. The announcement confirmed “porting in progress,” but didn’t announce which platforms the games would come to. 

 

Last month, Spike Chunsoft teased a 999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors port. The game’s director, Kotaro Uchikoshi, even said, “It looks like a STEAMship.” It was followed by a tweet saying, “Sorry. Maybe my previous tweet should have been written as follows. ‘It looks like a vital steamship.’ Thank you!”

 

999: 9 Hours, 9 Persons, 9 Doors is available on the Nintendo DS and iOS devices. Zero Escape: Virtue’s Last Reward is available on the Nintendo 3DS and PlayStation Vita.
