The Dark Knight, Dragoon, Sage, and Scholar jobs experienced the biggest changes when it came to adjustments in FFXIV patch 7.1.

7.1 FFXIV Job Adjustments Change Up Dark Knight, Dragoon, Sage, and Scholar

As is common with any patch, there are new FFXIV job action and trait adjustments that change how certain roles work in 7.1. Also as usual, certain jobs experienced more alterations than others. So the FFXIV version of the Dark Knight, Dragoon, Sage, and Scholar jobs experienced the most adjustments this time. 19 jobs in total were tweaked in this update.

First, there were nine changes made to the Dark Knight job in FFXIV, and here are all the adjustments from the official patch notes for 7.1. There are nine actions that work a little differently now.

Abyssal DrainCure potency has been increased from 200 to 500.
Carve and SpitThe additional effect “Restores own HP” has been added with a cure potency of 500.
BloodspillerPotency has been increased from 580 to 600.
Dark MissionaryNow acquired at level 66 (previously level 76). Now also reduces physical damage taken by 5%.
Scarlet DeliriumPotency has been increased from 600 to 620.
ComeuppancePotency has been increased from 700 to 720.
TorcleaverPotency has been increased from 800 to 820.

The Dragoon only experienced seven action changes when it comes to FFXIV job adjustments in 7.1. However, in the cases of four of those actions, multiple alterations were made.

Piercing TalonThe trait Lance Mastery will now increase potency from 150 to 200. The effect Enhanced Piercing Talon has been added, which increases potency to 350.
Elusive JumpThe additional effect “Grants Enhanced Piercing Talon” has been added with a duration of 15 seconds.
GeirskogulStacks of Nastrond Ready granted has been reduced from 3 to 1.
Mirage DivePotency has been increased from 200 to 380.
NastrondPotency has been increased from 300 to 600. Potency increase from the trait Lance Mastery III has been changed from 360 to 720.
StardiverPotency has been increased from 620 to 720. Potency increase from the trait Melee Mastery has been changed from 720 to 820.
StarcrossRange has been increased from 3 to 20 yalms. Potency has been increased from 900 to 1,000.

Eight changes were made to Sage job actions in FFXIV 7.1. However, in most cases it just means the MP cost is reduced or potency is slightly increased.

As for the FFXIV Scholar, it’s in the same position as the Sage when it comes to 7.1 job changes. The MP costs dropped or cure potency went up.

The other job changes in FFXIV 7.1 are more minor. The Astrologian’s two Gravity spells AOE increased.

Black Mages will see changes to four actions.

DespairThe trait Enhanced Astral Fire will now make the cast time instant.
Enhanced Enochian IVEffect potency has been reduced from 33% to 32%.

Dancers will see four dances slightly change.

Curing WaltzArea of effect has been increased from 3 to 5 yalms.
Fan Dance IIIThe trait Dynamic Dancer will now increase potency from 200 to 220.
Starfall DanceAction change settings can now be enabled to switch Starfall Dance with Devilment.

The Gunbreaker Superbolide won’t feature such drastic HP consequences, among other job action adjustments in FFXIV patch 7.1.

SuperbolideThe effects of this action will now be applied earlier. No longer reduces HP to 1, and instead reduces HP to 50% of maximum.
Heart of LightNow also reduces physical damage taken by 5%.
HypervelocityPotency has been reduced from 180 to 160. Potency increase from the trait Melee Mastery II has been changed from 220 to 200.
Double DownCartridge cost has been reduced from 2 to 1.

In the case of Healers, Esuna lost its cast time.

There are five changes to the Machinist job in FFXIV patch 7.1.

The Marauder and Warrior ended up having the Chaotic Cyclone and Holmgang actions changed.

The Ninja Dokumori and Ten Chi Jin actions seems to be the most notable alterations.

DokumoriAttack has been changed from single target to a cone, dealing damage with a potency of 300 to the first target, and 25% less for all remaining enemies.
Ten Chi JinPlayers can now move while under the effect of Ten Chi Jin.
Tenri JindoThe hit detection for this action will now trigger earlier.

Following multiple past Paladin changes and a rework in FFXIV, there are only three adjustments in patch 7.1.

Three Pictomancer motifs were adjusted.

Starry MuseThe ground effect will no longer appear when battle effects are set to Show Limited.

Different types of Reaping hotbar icons look different for the Reaper.

Void ReapingAfter learning the action Communio, the hotbar icon will no longer be illuminated when remaining Lemure Shroud stacks are at 1.
Cross ReapingAfter learning the action Communio, the hotbar icon will no longer be illuminated when remaining Lemure Shroud stacks are at 1.
Grim ReapingAfter learning the action Communio, the hotbar icon will no longer be illuminated when remaining Lemure Shroud stacks are at 1.
Executioner’s GallowsThe hit detection for this action will now trigger earlier.

Red Mage potencies increased for four actions.

Some of the Samurai changes have to do with potency.

Tendo Kaeshi SetsugekkaThe character motions and visual effects for this action have been changed.

While it didn’t change as much as some other jobs, the Summoner experienced quite a few adjustments in FFXIV patch 7.1.

Crimson CycloneThe additional effect “Grants Crimson Strike Ready” has been added. The effect ends upon the execution of certain summoner actions.
Crimson StrikeNo longer a combo action, and instead requires the effect of Crimson Strike Ready for execution.
Summon Ifrit IIPotency of Inferno has been increased from 750 to 800.
Summon Titan IIPotency of Earthen Fury has been increased from 750 to 800.
Summon Garuda IIPotency of Aerial Blast has been increased from 750 to 800.
SunflarePotency has been increased from 700 to 800.

Finally, here are the White Mage adjustments.

Divine CaressArea of effect has been increased from 15 to 30 yalms.

Final Fantasy XIV is available for the PS4, PS5, Xbox Series X, and PC, and patch 7.1 is live now.
