Even before Dreams’ full version launched, people were using the Media Molecule software to recreate some interesting things. You know, like Persona 5’s Cafe Leblanc or breakfast. Now, a user named Tooshi has made a 3D Stardew Valley model that gives Pelican Town a whole new look.
What’s interesting about Tooshi’s 3D Stardew Valley Dreams recreation is that a whole YouTube playlist has been released going over how everything, from the map and river to businesses like Pierre’s General Store and The Stardrop Saloon, were brought to life in the game.
The first of Tooshi’s 3D Stardew Valley Dreams videos begins with a blank slate and is a good way to see exactly how something can build up into a whole town you can visit within the game. It was released on January 5, 2020. (For those who are curious, the full dream was released on February 12, 2020.)
The official Dreams page for this project notes that it is an outdoor area only, and Toonshi specifically said, “Made it so that others can use this set/scene to make cool games, stories, & movies with!”
Dreams is available for the PlayStation 4. It will eventually have support for PlayStation VR. The full version added an Art’s Dream campaign.
