Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack – Beltorchika’s Children is the prequel to Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway. Yoshiyuki Tomino wrote the original novel in 1988. Though the plot follows the general gist of Char’s Counterattack, it is a parallel world from the events of the movie. For example, Beltorchika Irma takes on the role that Chan Agi occupied in the movie. An English version of the manga for Beltorchika’s Children will appear in Summer 2022.

After the pandemic caused several release delays, Mobile Suit Gundam Hathaway aired in Japanese theaters on June 11, 2021. Viewers who visit the theater to watch it can receive a serial code to watch the first two compilation films of Gundam Reconguista in G. The third Gundam Reconguista in G movie will air on July 22, 2021.

Mobile Suit Gundam: Char’s Counterattack – Beltorchika’s Children is currently available for pre-order from websites such as Ebten. Those who order from the Newtype Anime Market on Ebten can receive a separate picture of the jacket illustration, which is drawn by Haruhiko Mikimoto. The drama CD will release on August 28, 2021.
