It turns out Toby Fox’s collaborating with Game Freak wasn’t just a one-game thing. The developer revealed on Twitter that he created one of the Pokemon Sword and Shield songs. After revealing the contribution alongside a picture of Yamper, Fox offered a little more insight into the appearance. Namely, there was a note that “it’s not like a main track or anything.”

In addition, a sample of the song was released in Japan. People who are Pokemon Secret Club members are available to hear a snippet of Fox’s Pokemon Sword and Shield song. This has been shared on Twitter as well.

Ahead of Pokemon Sword and Shield, Fox was tapped to create the soundtrack for Game Freak’s Little Town Hero.

Pokemon Sword and Shield will come to the Nintendo Switch on November 15, 2019. Earlier today, a new Japanese trailer highlighted some of the characters and locations we’ll see in the RPG.
