Seeing as how the “cover” for each of the Sakura Wars games is that the characters pretend to be a part of a theater troupe, it only makes sense for the different members of the cast to each have image songs and “perform.” While Project Sakura Wars will change things up and be an action-RPG, rather than a strategic one, it will keep some elements of the spirit alive. Now, the Hatsuho Shinonome character song has been revealed.
Hatsuho is one of the members of the Imperial Combat Revue, and her song is called “Onna! Matsuri no Kokoroiki.” Given that festival (matsuri) is right there in the title and that she is shrine maiden, it only makes sense that it has an upbeat, traditional feel to it. Maaya Uchida, her voice actress, performs it. (People might also recognize Uchida as the voice of Fire Emblem Heroes’ Sharena, Kanna in Yu-no: A Girl Who Chants Love at the Bound of this World, and Lilliluca0 Arde in Is It Wrong to Try to Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon?.)
Here is Hatsuho’s “Onna! Matsuri no Kokoroiki.”
The first Project Sakura Wars character song revealed was Sakura Amamiya’s “Otome Nandesu yo.”
Project Sakura Wars will come to the PlayStation 4 in Japan on December 12, 2019. It will come to North America and Europe in Spring 2020.
