Atelier Ryza releases tomorrow in Japan and next month in the West, but producer Junzo Hosoi has already been thinking about what he wants to do for the next game. This week’s issue of Famitsu magazine has some interesting quotes from the producer. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]

Famitsu: This might be a bit too early, but what about the next game?

Junzo Hosoi, Producer: “I’m not sure if the next title [we work on] will be the next game [of Atelier Ryza] but I’d like to put in some efforts in actions for meddling on the field.”

Basically Hosoi isn’t sure whether they’ll begin working on a sequel to Atelier Ryza right away, but he wants the next game to have more going on during the field exploration.

The producer also added that he wants to do more for the battles of the game, which was one of the main focuses going into the development of Atelier Ryza.

Lastly, Hosoi says that he doesn’t know where Ryza will be, but he will certainly make her appear for the next game. He hasn’t confirmed whether Atelier Ryza will be part of a trilogy as we’ve seen in previous entries, but based on that it sounds like we’ll have something similar going on for the next Atelier game(s).

Atelier Ryza: Ever Darkness & the Scarlet Hideout releases for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on September 26, 2019. The game releases for PS4, Switch, and PC in North America on October 29, 2019 and in Europe on November 1, 2019.
