Shenmue III PC Refund And PlayStation 4 Region Survey Will Go Out In Mid-September 2019

The Shenmue III Kickstarter page has been updated with details about a survey that will go out for PS4 region changes and PC refund will be emailed out to backers in mid-September 2019. After the survey is live, people will have two weeks to fill it out. The official Kickstarter page will be updated when the survey starts.

The Shenmue III PC refund portion deals with the refunds Epic Games will be covering for Ys Net and Deep Silver. People who backed the game and chose a PC copy due to the assumption it would be on Steam. All refund requests must go through the survey and, in the Kickstarter update, it noted, “Refund processing timing may vary depending on payment service and transaction status. It may take up to 20 business days to 3 months from the time the refund request is made until the refund transaction is completed.” In-game rewards for people who backed Shenmue III and ask for a refund will likely remain in the game and not be removed.

For PlayStation 4 owners, this survey will only be a chance to switch their code’s region. They will not be able to ask for refunds.

Shenmue III will come to the PlayStation 4 and PC on November 19, 2019. The trial version will be available for backers through the Epic Games Store in the second half of September 2019.
