Fans looking forward to Final Fantasy VII Remake can expect to see more from characters from Shinra at Tokyo Game Show 2019 next week. Tetsuya Nomura shared a few tidbits in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]
Nomura first talked about the recently released Final Fantasy VIII Remastered. The France-based DotEmu did the basic porting and analysis from the PC version of Final Fantasy VIII. Square Enix requested Access Games to do the model production and implementation. The reason the PC version has the unique functions is because there are more players on PC who prefer the more “core” ways of playing.
As for Final Fantasy VII Remake, Nomura says that Square Enix will show more characters from the Shinra Electric Power Company at TGS 2019. Furthermore, the Remake version’s Hardy Daytona will be on display with even more details than ever. Those attending will also get to check out a life-size Buster Sword at the event.
Final Fantasy VII Remake releases for PlayStation 4 on March 3, 2020. Final Fantasy VIII Remastered is now available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
