Like games like Kill la Kill IF and Senran Kagura, Azur Lane: Crosswave will have a photo mode where people can set up a diorama with playable characters, pose them, and take pictures. Two of the latest entries of Azur Lane CW Style News offer a two part look at the photo mode and how it will work.

The first part of the Azur Lane: Crosswave photo mode video series looks at what it is like to set up a photo shoot for a single character. The Battleship Yamashiro gets to be the star, as we get to see how we can rotate the character model, adjust the camera angle, zoom in, decide the angle, and determine the positioning for shots. While this is more focused on camera work, at the end we do see how facial expressions and the degree of blushing can be changed.

The second Azur Lane: Crosswave photo mode trailer focuses on the diorama aspect. It has the Destroyers Javelin, Laffey, and Z23. It shows how you can move the shipgirls around the area, determine their poses, arrange their positions in a group, alter their facial expressions, and further customize photos.

Azur Lane: Crosswave will come to the PlayStation 4 in Japan on August 29, 2019. It will be released in other regions in 2020.
