ChinaJoy 2019 is set to be held in Shanghai from August 2-5, 2019 this year, with this year marking the 16th anniversary of the conference. Yesterday, Sony announced via their PlayStation China Weibo account that they will be holding a 2-hour long conference during the event. [Thanks, Qooah!]
The conference will be held the night before the conference begins, at 5:30-7:30pm China Standard Time on August 1, 2019. (2:30-4:30am PT on August 1 for US folks.) The conference seems to be titled ‘Infinite Possibilities of “Play”’, and will be streamed via Chinese video sites Huya, Douyu, and Bilibili. New information is set to be revealed during the conference.
During recent years, PlayStation China has stepped up their presence in China, holding demo events for games such as Sekiro there. As such, international games might just appear during the show. Furthermore, we may see a few more updates on the various China Hero Project titles that are partially funded and supported on the technical side by PlayStation.
The PlayStation China conference will be held from 5:30-7:30pm CST on August 1, 2019.
