The Arc System Works official Twitter account has issued a statement regarding any possible disparities between the Japanese version and North American and European releases of Kill la Kill: IF. Each region’s version of the game is the same. Nothing is changed.

The official statement can be seen below.

This information was actually originally provided back in May 2019, when Arc System Works updated the official Kill la Kill: IF website. In a table going over the differences between the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC versions, with regards to things like frame rate and resolution, a note at the bottom addressed content. It said, “There are no alterations to the game’s visuals (costumes and etc.) between the regions and platforms.”

In Kill la Kill, characters wear outfits called Goku Uniforms. People who wear them can transform and use special abilities because of them. As the screenshot of Ryuko in Senketsu above shows, some of these outfits can be rather revealing.

Kill la Kill: IF will come to the Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, and PC in Japan on July 25, 2019 and in North America and Europe on July 26, 2019. A PlayStation 4 demo is out now, while the Nintendo Switch demo will launch on July 22, 2019.
