Dissidia Final Fantasy Opera Omnia has added its next Final Fantasy VIII heroine. Rinoa is now available through the “Where to Go” special event. It will be available in the game until July 11, 2019. This comes almost a year after her Japanese debut, which happened between August 31-September 14, 2019. (If you miss the event, you’ll have to wait for it to come back as a permanent Lost Chapter!)

Rinoa is a ranged unit who throws projectiles known as Blaster Edges. (Or, well, occasionally her dog, Angelo.) She has high attack and fairly high BRV. She starts out with an Angelo Cannon ability, which is a ranged BRV and HP attack that gives her Angelo Recover after it is used (canceling Angel Wing, if it is in effect). That makes her BRV Attack and HP Attack into BRV Attack+ and HP Attack+ with Angelo, increasing damage while also raising the party’s BRV more when using a BRV attack. If you get her crystal level up to 20, you get Angel Wing. This is a buff that has an instant turn rate and changes her BRV Attack and HP Attack into Angel Wing BRV Attack+ and HP Attack+. (Angelo Recover is canceled when Angel Wing is in effect.) In Angel Wing, her BRV Attack does five hits at 300% damage, but she also uses 10% of her health each time she uses it.

Rinoa’s 70CP, EX Ability weapon was also added alongside her. If you pull from the banner, you can get Rising Sun. Equipping it gives Rinoa Angel Wing Meteor, a 3-hit group magic BRV and HP attack that deals proportionate HP damage to every target three times and gives her the Angel Wing effect for three turns.
