Gust provided additional details for its upcoming RPG Atelier Ryza in this week’s issue of Famitsu magazine with details on a new party member named Ampel Vollmer, other characters, and a new gathering system teaser. [Thanks, Ryokutya2089.]
Ampel Vollmer (CV: Hirofumi Nojima) – A wandering alchemist who researches ancient ruins. He rented a house in Rozenboden to carry on his research. He has an abundance of knowledge but due to a certain incident in the past, he lost his ability to se high-end alchemy. He’ll fight by your side as a party member.
Bohs Brunnen (CV: Yohei Azakami) – The only son of the Brunnen family. He’s arrogant and prideful but has a great deal of political influence. He’s also intellectual.
Lumbar Dorn (CV: Fukushi Ochiai) – A coward who bends over for the powerful. He’s on Bohs’ side and insults Ryza and her friends.
Moritz Brunnern (CV: Ryota Takeuchi) – Bohs’ father. He’s a man that gets things done but doesn’t have a good reputation.
Lastly, the magazine introduces a new system called “Gathering Grounds Synthesis” which appears to be some sort of field you can create through alchemy in order to gather.
As for other side notes, the magazine shows that Ampel uses a gun in combat. As for Bohs and Lumbar, it doesn’t look like they’ll be joining your party based on what was shown.
Atelier Ryza: The Queen of Eternal Darkness & The Secret Hideout releases for PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch in Japan on September 26, 2019. It’ll release later on PC via Steam. A Western localization announcement is expected to be made tomorrow, June 27, 2019.
