All those hints that The Snack World would be released outside of Japan have amounted to something. A PR email has been sent out confirming that the series will be released outside of Japan, and people can expect to see it in 2020. However, it was not noted if this means the Nintendo 3DS or Nintendo Switch version will be released, if it could mean the anime series, or perhaps both. (Thanks, GoNintendo and Nintendo Everything!)

In The Snack World, a boy named Chup gets the chance to fight against monsters alongside his friends. The Nintendo Switch version includes the Nintendo 3DS version’s two DLC packs, has better graphics and a tweaked battle system, and includes more character customization options.

Hints of a localization have appeared for quite some time. 3Beep noted it was working on translations of the anime and game back in March 2019. Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl Gold was rated by the Australian Classification Board in April 2019, pointing to the potential release of the Nintendo Switch version of the game.

The Snack World originally appeared on the Nintendo 3DS in Japan in 2017. It then appeared on the Nintendo Switch in that region as The Snack World in 2018.
