Capcom has offered a look at the various Monster Hunter: World Iceborne Collector’s Edition options that will be available in Japan, and two of the three options features an incredibly helpful Palico. That is, a Palico statue. It is a figure designed to hold a small device like a DualShock 4 or cell phone. (Though, conceivably, it could hold something like a Nintendo Switch, Nintendo 3DS, or PlayStation Vita too.)
The Palico figure is available in both the 22,129円 ($203) and 19,380円 (~$178) Monster Hunter: World Iceborne Collector’s Editions available through the Capcom store. People can also buy it separately for 4,860円 ($45). It is 15cm tall and made of PVC/ABS. While it has indentations specifically engineered to hold a controller, it could also hold other items. At the moment, only an unpainted prototype version of the statue has been released,
In addition, the contents of the other Monster Hunter: World Iceborne Collector’s Editions have been revealed. The 22,129円 Master Edition is the most complete one. It has both Monster Hunter: World and the Iceborne expansion, the Palico statue, a Velkhana figure, an art book, a soundtrack CD, a decorative piece of metal with art from the game on it, and the deluxe kit code with one room decor set, two sticker sets, two face paints, two hairstyles, three gestures, and the Silver Knight Layered Armor set. Capcom store orders include a keychain. The 19,380円 version does not have the deluxe kit code.
Monster Hunter World is available for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC. Its Iceborne expansion will arrive on September 6, 2019. You can learn more about it and its deluxe edition, which will be released outside of Japan, here.
