The Japanese press release for the Final Fantasy VII Remake’s trailer has been released, and most of the information falls in line with what we learned yesterday. For example, more details will be released in June 2019. However, there is one thing it does do that wasn’t mentioned during the May 2019 State of Play. It confirms that Square Enix will still pursue a multi-part release for the title.

At the end of the official press release, Square Enix noted that it will be a multipart production when it is “reborn” on the PlayStation 4. It reconfirms that the Final Fantasy VII Remake will consist of separate parts, rather than be released at once as it was back on the PlayStation. It also says that more information will again arrive in June 2019.

As a reminder, the Final Fantasy VII Remake was first announced during E3 2015. Its second appearance was at the 2015 PlayStation Experience. The May 2019 State of Play trailer was the first time it had been shown in years.

Final Fantasy VII is immediately available on the PlayStation, PlayStation 4, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, PC, and both Android and Apple iOS devices. The remake is in development for the PlayStation 4.
