Bandai Namco released its financial report for the fiscal year ended March 31, 2019, which saw an increase in sales and operating profit thanks to titles like SoulCalibur VI, Ace Combat 7, and Jump Force.

The companyā€™s ā€œNetwork Entertainmentā€ segment, which features video games, saw strong performances from series like Dragon Ball and One Piece overseas, but domestically in Japan it also saw positive results from series such as The Idolmaster.

The financial report doesnā€™t get into specific sales numbers, but it mentions SoulCalibur VI, Ace Combat 7: Skies Unknown, and Jump Force as console titles that saw strong performances on a worldwide level. The Network Entertainment segment saw sales of about 3.4 billion yen for a 4.4% increase year-over-year.

Here we have a breakdown of home video game titles and unit sales across Japan, the Americas, and Europe. It shows that Europe continues to lead all regions when it comes to software sales and Japan saw the fewest.

Whatā€™s interesting here is that it shows that a total of 69 new titles released in the first half of the previous fiscal year and when all was said and done the company released a total of 180 new titles in the fiscal year ended March 2019. The forecast for the current fiscal year shows 83 titles for the first half but the full-year forecast is down to 140, so that means expect a heavy first half and a slower second half with much fewer titles going into the third quarter from Bandai Namco.
