Sega announced that Puyo Puyo eSports, the latest title in the series that changes up the presentation a bit to make it more accommodating as an eSports title, is getting a physical release. The game originally released on PlayStation 4 and Nintendo Switch back in October 2018. [Thanks, Game Watch!]
While the physical version also has the singleplayer modes from the digital release, as well as a Lesson Mode that teaches the basics so that even newcomers aren’t left behind.
In related news, Puyo Puyo eSports is possibly coming over as Puyo Puyo Champions, according to a feature story from NEO Magazine, a UK magazine focused on East Asian entertainment. [Thanks, @SuzuTitor on Twitter!]

As usual, until such an announcement is officially made, please take the information with a grain of salt.
Puyo Puyo eSports comes out on Nintendo Switch and PlayStation 4 physically in Japan on June 27, 2019. Puyo Puyo Champions might be released on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC on May 7, 2019.
Update: A user uploaded a leaked trailer of Puyo Puyo Champions on YouTube, which was claimed and removed by Sega of America. While this isn’t a direct announcement, it does add validity to the story.
