Sega Mega Drive classic shmup Advanced Busterhawk Gleylancer is getting a limited reprint, 27 years after its first release in 1992. The reprint of the game will come out in Japan on June 6, 2019. [Thanks, Famitsu!]
The game will be usable on the actual Mega Drive and other consoles that can play Mega Drive games. That said, this is a release on cartridges not officially licensed by Sega Games, so a disclaimer notes that while it works on the Mega Drive, it’s not guaranteed to work on third-party units.
Advanced Busterhawk Gley Lancer was originally released on the Mega Drive, but also saw a Virtual Console release on the Wii in 2008. This marks the second time the game has seen some re-release in some form.
