God Eater 3 is getting its next major update, version 1.30, featuring a post-game story episode, Keith and Neil as additional party members, new Aragami, Burst Arts, Costumes, and more.
The above trailer gives us a sneak peek at what we’re getting in the new update.
The additional story episode takes place after the ending of the main game. Previously, Ein and Hounds worked on an “Anti-Adaptive Armor” development, and completing this technology could mean new business for the Hounds. This new business could mean the first step to making their dreams come true. Joining them in the story is Zeke Pennywort’s younger brother Neil who was previously separated from a young age.
Both Keith and Neil will be playable with the update. Keith’s play style is characteristic of a mechanic, with ranged attacks and the ability to support allies. On the other hand, Neil won’t get in the way much in battle as he moves on his own and specializes in scouting enemies. There’s more to Neil’s abilities, but the developers say you’ll have to see it for yourself when the update goes live.
The above is a new Aragami called “Ameno Havakiri.” These are different from the regular Havakiri and Fallen Havakiri with a different set of moves.
This is the “Ash Storm Class Anubis” that is also said to be vastly different from the regular Anubis and Anubis Deny.
The 1.30 update will also add new Burst Arts and Burst Arts effects.
Last but not least, the update adds a number of new costumes that we got to see a bit in the video. The above image gives us a sneak peek at a couple outfits.
God Eater 3 is available on PlaySTation 4 and PC. The version 1.30 update is expected to launch in Spring 2019.
