Shift Up, the South Korean company behind titles like Destiny Child and the recently announced NieR: Automata-inspired Project Eve, is also working on a brand-new mobile third-person shooter.
Nikke is a game that Shift Up is looking to create with all the accumulated knowhow from their work on Destiny Child. It is made in Unity with Live2D (Ver. 3.3) and “2.5D Paper Folding” technology to give it a lively sense of combat action.
Similar to Project Eve, the story is about recapturing planet Earth from living machine organisms in a third-party shooter where building onto your force is the key, to go with high-quality character visuals and simple controls that allow the game to be played with a single hand.
As for multiplayer gameplay, it supports up to four players in real-time action, but more info will be shared on a later date.
Nikke: The Goddess of Victory is in development for iOS and Android with a 2020 global release window.
