Bandai Namco recently hosted its Dragon Ball Games Super Showcase, where producers of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Dragon Ball FighterZ got together to thank fans and talk about what’s coming.

At around the 43:06 mark of the video we get some talk on a possible second season for Dragon Ball FighterZ, to which producer Hiroki said “Yes, I really want to say it, but please it until the FighterZ finals.”

Hiroki also talked about some of the improvements they’re working on:

Tomoko Hiroki, Producer: “Yes. Dragon Ball FighterZ is currently being balanced while looking at user’s gameplay. We’ll have the Finals at the end of January,so that would be where we would be adjusting the battle system itself so that the way users play will change a bit. We’ll give more details after the Finals, but that is what we’re planning.”

She then shared her thoughts on seeing Dragon Ball FighterZ on the big stage at EVO 2018, where the team learned a lot from observing the many talents from around the world and the exciting finals.

Lastly, at the 51:33 mark of the video, Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 producer Masayuki Hirano wrapped things up with a message teaser:

Masayuki Hirano, Producer: “I would like to thank everyone for giving us this opportunity to talk about the latest news of Dragon Ball games. I was really looking forward to revealing information on Super Dragon Ball Heroes, so I hope everyone became interested. The producer himself will be coming out in public from here on out, so I hope everyone will check that out when the time comes.

And another thing, we said that new information on FighterZ would be coming during the Finals. But we’re also planning to release other big news. We hope everyone will look forward to that.

Of course we’ll continue to support Super Dragon Ball Heroes while also doing the same for Xenoverse 2 and FighterZ but this new information is something different. We’re hoping to bring information that would please Dragon Ball as a whole. We hope you will look forward to  that.

We mentioned many things here today, but we already have the next steps in mind so we hope everyone looks forward to that. The V Jump published by Shueisha in Japan has some hints on the information coming during the Tour Final, so it may be difficult for our audience to get their hands on that, but we will gradually release new information.

For the month of January, we hope to keep things exciting, so I hope you’ll look out for it.

Thank you very much for today.”

Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 and Dragon Ball FighterZ are available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, and PC.
