Pokemon Quest is going to make a splash in a whole new country. (We will have to wait and see if it is super effective.) A Chinese teaser website has launched for the action-RPG. It has a countdown on it, which is currently set to end on January 8, 2019.

Currently, the Chinese Pokemon Quest website is rather barren. You can sign up for notifications for the Android or Apple iOS version of the game. Aside from that, all there is to see is a giant Poke Ball.

In Pokemon Quest, players put together teams of three Pokemon and send them to explore locations. The Pokemon move and attack of their own accord, but you can press buttons to trigger their special moves. It only features the original generation of Pokemon.

As a reminder, the Chinese government recently began its game approval process again in December 2018. This means companies could begin seeing their games approved, which would allow opportunities to launch titles in the region.

Pokemon Quest is immediately available on the Nintendo Switch and both Android and Apple iOS devices in Japan, North America, and Europe.
